Jagananna 2.0 will be different and stronger, says YSRC chief

Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that the upcoming phase of governance will be distinct and focused on the welfare of his party workers

VIJAYAWADA: Former chief minister and YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced that the upcoming phase of governance, referred as ‘Jagananna 2.0’, will be distinct and focused on the welfare of his party workers.

During a meeting with Vijayawada Municipal Corporation YSRC corporators and key party leaders here on Wednesday, Jagan Mohan Reddy has emphasised that Jagananna 2.0 will operate differently, focusing on protecting and supporting every party worker.

Jagan Mohan Reddy has assured the cadre that he was closely monitoring the difficulties they were facing and pledged his unwavering support. “When in Opposition, challenges are inevitable. But we must remain steadfast in our values. Hardships do not last forever. I faced unjust imprisonment for 16 months due to political conspiracies by the Congress and the TD. Yet, I never took a step back. With the people’s trust, I became the Chief Minister and I assure you that our party would return to power and rule the state for the next 30 years,” he said.

Jagan Mohan Reddy lashed out at the current government, stating that the coalition government has destroyed key institutions and failed to implement its promised ‘Super Six’ schemes in nine months of its rule so far. “Scams have become rampant, with kickbacks from MLAs to the Chief Minister himself. People will soon hold them accountable, which is why they are resorting to undemocratic governance through the ‘Red Book Constitution’,” he said.

Referring to the defection of 13 YSRC corporators in Vijayawada after the elections, the former chief minister praised the 38 loyal corporators who stood firm against the TD’s pressure tactics. He also pointed out that in every local body election held post-Assembly polls, the YSRC achieved a clean sweep, proving the people's continued trust in the party.

Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “People have now realised Chandrababu Naidu’s true nature. His government has not only failed to deliver but has also weakened every institution. The YSRC would return with a resounding majority because we stood by our values, delivered on our promises and never deceived the people,” he added.
