Jagan Seeks Lokesh’s Resignation Over Alleged DSC Irregularities

Meanwhile, YSRC youth wing state president Jakkampudi Raja also demanded Lokesh’s resignation, alleging irregularities in the DSC recruitment process.

Vijayawada:YSRC president and former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday claimed that Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan had resigned by taking moral responsibility for the alleged NEET paper leak, and questioned whether Andhra Pradesh education minister N. Lokesh would do the same over the alleged irregularities in the DSC recruitment process.

In a post on X, Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “We now ask the same question in Andhra Pradesh. Will education minister N. Lokesh of the NDA government, accepts moral responsibility for the serious irregularities surrounding the DSC examination process involving around 3.5 lakh aspirants and resigns from his post? Or, will Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of the NDA government shields his son instead of upholding the very standards of accountability that the NDA claims to believe in?"

Meanwhile, YSRC youth wing state president Jakkampudi Raja also demanded Lokesh’s resignation, alleging irregularities in the DSC recruitment process.

Addressing reporters in Rajamahendravaram, Raja claimed that Pradhan’s resignation followed sustained protests by students and described it as a victory for the youth movement. He alleged that the DSC recruitment process was irregular and urged the state government to respond to the concerns raised by aspirants.

He further said Pradhan's resignation sent a message on political accountability and asserted that governments must function in accordance with the Constitution. Raja alleged that the NEET paper leak had demonstrated the strength of the students’ movement.
