Jagan Demands President’s Rule In AP
YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy demanded President’s Rule in Andhra Pradesh, alleging violence, intimidation and police bias during the local body election nomination process.

Former chief minister and YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has demanded President’s Rule in Andhra Pradesh, alleging a breakdown of law and order during the ongoing local body election process.
In a post on X, Jagan Mohan Reddy accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of allowing violence and intimidation during the nomination process. He alleged that opposition candidates were being threatened with knives and sticks, nomination centres were being surrounded, and nomination papers were being snatched and torn inside Returning Officers’ offices.
He claimed that YSRC candidates were being picked up by the police at night to prevent them from filing nominations. He also alleged that three party MPs who accompanied candidates as proposers were attacked and their nomination papers torn in the presence of the police.
Questioning the safety of ordinary citizens, Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that the police were protecting ruling coalition supporters instead of ensuring free and fair elections.
Citing incidents in Kadapa, Pulivendula, Kamalapuram, Jammalamadugu, Rajampet, Rayachoti, Punganur, Tirupati, Darsi, Dachepalli and Gurazala, he accused the ruling coalition of undermining democracy. He also questioned the reported police firing in Pulivendula and demanded accountability for the alleged attacks on candidates and proposers.
