Jagan Cannot Tolerate Democracy In Pulivendula, Says Somireddy

Speaking to media in Nellore, he said for the first time in 30 years, nominations had been filed and polling held for Pulivendula ZPTC, which Jagan Mohan Reddy cannot digest.

NELLORE: Sarvepalli MLA and former minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy has accused Pulivendula MLA and former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of being intolerant of democratic developments in his own constituency.

Speaking to media in Nellore, he said for the first time in 30 years, nominations had been filed and polling held for Pulivendula ZPTC, which Jagan Mohan Reddy cannot digest.

Somireddy charged that during the YSRCP regime, large-scale irregularities in sarpanch, MPTC and ZPTC elections prevented candidates from even filing their nominations. “Now, when the ZPTC election has been conducted democratically in Pulivendula after three decades, Jagan is unable to bear it and is speaking recklessly,” he remarked.

The Sarvepalli MLA objected to what he called Jagan’s remarks against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. “Unable to bear the holding of democratic election in Pulivendula ZPTC, Jagan is making derogatory remarks against Chandrababu Naidu, even calling him names,” he stated.

Drawing comparisons, Somireddy said, “Just like Lord Rama and Lord Krishna never stayed idle but constantly worked for the welfare of people, Chandrababu Naidu is tirelessly fighting for the future of the state and its people. Discipline and hard work are his hallmarks. Jagan has no moral right to even utter his name.”

Stating that Education minister N. Lokesh has taken on the responsibility of politically countering Jagan and his “overconfident” followers, the Sarvepalli MLA warned, “If Jagan doesn’t control his tongue, he and his batch will have to face the consequences.”
