Jagan accuses CM Naidu of behaving like dictator

He lambasted the police, saying instead of protecting victims, they are helping the accused.

YSRC president and former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy came down heavily on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his government over large scale misuse of power, similar to Bihar.

He accused the current administration of running the government by relying on police to suppress opponents. “The Chief Minister is behaving like a dictator,” he remarked.
Jagan Mohan Reddy spoke to media after visiting Papireddypalli in Ramagiri mandal of Satya Sai district, where a YSRC activist K. Lingamaiah had been killed during a clash at a temple. He lambasted the police, saying instead of protecting victims, they are helping the accused.

The former CM said though 20 persons, including close aides of TD MLA Paritala Sunitha, had been involved in the attack, police have registered cases against only two persons.
Issuing a severe warning to police, the former CM said, “We will remove their uniforms and throw them out of their jobs after we are voted to power.”

Referring to the local body elections, he pointed out that the TD has already suffered a setback. “Out of 50 elections held, YSRC won in 39 places, despite lacking strength. The TD is still trying to grab power by threatening party leaders,” he charged.

The YSRC president accused the state government of launching politically motivated legal actions. He pointed out that false cases have been filed against Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy and 18 cases have been registered against Posani Krishna Murali. Nandigam Suresh had been imprisoned for 145 days on false charges, he added.
