Indira Gandhi Zoo Park To Hold Elocution Contest On Oct. 3

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Indira Gandhi Zoological Park (IGZP) will organise an elocution competition on October 3 as part of Wildlife Week celebrations to create awareness among students about wildlife conservation and habitat protection.
The competition will be held at the Zoo Bioscope on the zoo premises. Students from Grade 1 to postgraduate level are eligible to participate.
Wildlife Week will be observed from October 2 to 8 under the theme “Connecting Habitats, Thriving Wildlife”, zoo authorities said.
Participants can speak on either “The Role of Zoos in Wildlife Conservation” or “Wildlife and Tribal Communities”. Each contestant will have three to five minutes to deliver an original and informative speech.
Officials said the competition aims to promote environmental awareness among youngsters and encourage discussions on biodiversity conservation and the relationship between communities and wildlife.
