IndiGo Flight Cancelled At Tirupati Airport After Technical Issue
An IndiGo flight from Tirupati to Hyderabad was cancelled after a technical issue was detected while the aircraft was on the ground.
An IndiGo flight scheduled to operate from Tirupati to Hyderabad was cancelled on Friday after a technical issue was detected on the ground.
The aircraft arrived at Renigunta Airport from Hyderabad at around 1.50 pm and was scheduled to depart for Hyderabad at 2.25 pm. However, a technical issue was detected before departure, resulting in a delay of about an hour.
The airline subsequently decided not to operate the flight. Passengers were informed about the cancellation and alternative arrangements were made based on their choice.
Tirupati Airport director D. Boominathan confirmed the development and clarified that the incident was not an emergency landing. He said the technical issue was detected while the aircraft was on the ground and the flight did not take off.
More than 120 passengers were reportedly scheduled to travel on the flight. IndiGo staff made arrangements for their onward travel following the cancellation.
