Vande Bharat Sleeper Trains Soon in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Indian Railways is planning to upgrade the existing Vande Bharat chair car services by introducing Vande Bharat Sleeper trains, benefiting passengers travelling long distances. Railway officials are aiming to introduce the sleeper version in the Vijayawada Division by Dasara.
According to reports, the Vande Bharat Sleeper trains will offer world-class facilities, providing passengers with an experience comparable to air travel. At present, Vande Bharat Express trains connect Secunderabad, Chennai and Visakhapatnam via Vijayawada.
The Vande Bharat Sleeper trains will feature modern amenities, including First AC, Second AC and Third AC coaches with premium interiors, LED lighting, soundproof cabins, Wi-Fi connectivity, charging points and automatic doors. Advanced safety systems and sensors will also be installed to enhance passenger safety.
Designed to operate at speeds of up to 160 kmph, the trains are expected to have 16 coaches, offering passengers a faster, safer and more comfortable travel experience. Railway officials said preparations are underway to introduce the service in the region in the coming months.
