In-Charge Sub Registrar Lands In ACB Net

Nellore: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths caught an in-charge sub registrar red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 35,000 from one Shaik Khader Basha of Giddalur in Prakasam district on Thursday.
The arrested official was identified as Namana Krishna Mohan Rao. A senior assistant in the sub-registrar office, Krishna Mohan was acting as the in-charge in the absence of the sub registrar.
According to ACB officials, Khadar Basha had approached Krishna Mohan for the registration of a house owned by his mother in his name as a gift deed. To carry out the process, Krishna Mohan demanded Rs 35,000 as a bribe.
Then, Basha approached ACB officials in Ongole. As per their direction, he handed over the cash to Krishna Mohan at the SRO on Thursday.
The officials caught him while accepting the bribe amount red-handed. He will be produced in the ACB Court at Nellore. People can report bribery on 1064 or 94404 40057 or via compalints-acb@ap.gov.in.
