IMD Forecasts More Rain Across Andhra Pradesh

Several parts of north coastal Andhra Pradesh received light to moderate rainfall on Saturday, while Visakhapatnam city witnessed intermittent drizzle under overcast skies throughout the day.

Visakhapatnam:The low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal has intensified and is likely to bring more rain to north coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastal Andhra Pradesh over the next two to three days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Several parts of north coastal Andhra Pradesh received light to moderate rainfall on Saturday, while Visakhapatnam city witnessed intermittent drizzle under overcast skies throughout the day.

According to rainfall data recorded during the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Saturday, Ichchapuram in Srikakulam district received the highest rainfall of 5 cm. Sompeta in Srikakulam recorded 4 cm.

Rainfall of 3 cm each was recorded at Vara Ramachandrapuram, Kunavaram and Chintur in Alluri Sitarama Raju district, Palasa and Mandasa in Srikakulam district, Velairpad in Eluru district, Bondapalle in Vizianagaram district and Bheemunipatnam in Visakhapatnam district.
