HM Suffers Minor Injury As Drone Falls During Tirupati Event

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha suffered a minor hand injury after a drone fell during the Amaravati Championship inauguration in Tirupati.

State home minister Vangalapudi Anitha suffered a minor injury when a drone fell during the inaugural programme of the state-level Amaravati Championship-2026 at the Tarakarama Ground of Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupati on Monday.
The drone was being flown as part of the inaugural ceremony when it reportedly lost power due to a low battery charge and fell unexpectedly. It struck the home minister’s right hand, causing a minor injury.
Medical personnel at the venue immediately attended to Anitha and provided treatment. She continued to participate in the programme despite the incident.
The four-day state-level championship was inaugurated by Anitha, sports minister M. Ramprasad Reddy, revenue minister Anagani Satya Prasad and others.
