The Helmet Bank provides khaki helmets for male officers and pink ones for female personnel, while the Hydration Bank stocks chilled water and electrolyte beverages to keep officers refreshed.

Anantapur: Anantapur district has launched India’s first-ever Helmet and Hydration Banks for its police force. The initiative, spearheaded by SP Jagadeesh and social activist Anil Kumar, aims to ensure that all uniformed police officers wear helmets and stay hydrated during their long shifts, especially in the extreme heat of the region.
The Helmet Bank provides khaki helmets for male officers and pink ones for female personnel, while the Hydration Bank stocks chilled water and electrolyte beverages to keep officers refreshed. This initiative is set to roll out in three phases, with the first phase focused on the police force, followed by plans to extend the service to the general public and improve overall road safety.
The project is a collaboration between the Anantapur district police and the local NGO, Discover Anantapur, setting a new standard for law enforcement support across the country.
