Heavy Inflows Push Srisailam Reservoir Close to Full Level

Kurnool: The flood flow from the Jurala and Sunkesula projects into the Srisailam reservoir continued to increase on Sunday. As a result, eight gates of the project were opened to release water downstream. At 6.30 p.m., the inflow into the Srisailam reservoir was recorded at 3,00,976 cusecs, while the outflow stood at 3,11,163 cusecs.
Currently, the reservoir holds 202.51 tmc ft of water, about 94 per cent of its full reservoir level of 215 tmc ft. The Jurala project is receiving inflows of 2,20,455 cusecs and releasing 2,24,587 cusecs downstream. Meanwhile, the Sunkesula reservoir is getting inflows of 66,000 cusecs and releasing 64,427 cusecs.
