Nellore: A wave of grief swept through Gollavaripalli village in Vinjamur mandal of Nellore district during the last rites of Golla Ramesh, his wife Anusha, and their two children, Manvitha and Manish. The family perished in the Kurnool bus fire accident, leaving the entire region in shock and sorrow.

When the mortal remains reached the village on Sunday night, the atmosphere turned deeply emotional. Amid heart-rending cries, villagers and relatives paid their final respects.

Udayagiri MLA Kakarla Suresh told Deccan Chronicle that in accordance with the request of Ramesh’s father Malakondaiah, bodies of Ramesh and his wife had been consigned to separate graves, while the children had been buried together.

MLA Suresh, who personally supervised the funeral arrangements, broke into tears as he consoled the grieving family members. “The loss of an entire family is unbearable,” he said, assuring the family of continued support.

According to the legislator, the Telugu Desam Party has deposited ₹5 lakh each in the names of Malakondaiah and Dhanamma (Anusha’s mother). Suresh personally contributed ₹3 lakh, Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy provided ₹5 lakh, and former Indian Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu extended ₹1 lakh in aid.

The MLA said both the central and state governments are extending additional financial assistance to the kin of the bereaved family.
