HDPT Warns Public of Misleading Statements in its Name

The trust has appealed to Hindu devotees and general public to remain vigilant against individuals and organisations misusing the HDPT identity for their personal or their organisational gain

VIJAYAWADA: Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Trust (HDPT), an official trust functioning under the Andhra Pradesh endowments department, has cautioned people against fake press releases and misleading social media campaigns being run in its name by certain anti-social organisations.

On Wednesday, HDPT coordinators Sandireddy Kondala Rao and Kota Sunil Kumar clarified that the Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Trust has been established with the objective of protecting, promoting, and preserving Hindu Dharma and coordinating religious activities across the state under the supervision of the Endowments and Charitable department.

They said recently, the trust has noticed that some unauthorised groups and individuals are using HDPT’s name and spreading false information through press notes and social media platforms to mislead devotees and the public.

The coordinators maintained that the said organisations have no connection whatsoever with either the Endowments Department or the Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Trust. They warned persons or groups issuing fraudulent statements, circulating fake documents, or engaging in unauthorised propaganda using the HDPT name would face civil as well as criminal action.

The trust has appealed to Hindu devotees and general public to remain vigilant against individuals and organisations misusing the HDPT identity for their personal or their organisational gain.

Kondala Rao and Sunil Kumar urged citizens to contact the Endowments Department or the HDPT office directly through numbers 9849847973 and 9848559566 in case of any doubts or for clarifications.
