HC hears PIL seeking transfer of cases against Naidu to CBI, ED

Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh High Court heard a PIL seeking the transfer of cases against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and others to the CBI and Enforcement Directorate for an impartial probe. The court deferred the next hearing by two weeks.
A division bench, led by Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, heard the petition filed by Kottu Bal Gangadhar Tilak, who cited multiple cases of alleged irregularities during Naidu’s 2014-19 tenure. The court noted that the Supreme Court had issued orders in a similar case.
Petitioner’s counsel, Chinthala Suman, mentioned that in such cases, the apex court had permitted withdrawal of PILs. Advocate General Dammalapati Srinivas assured the court he would submit a copy of the Supreme Court’s ruling in a similar matter. The case will be heard again in two weeks.
