HC Dismisses Petitions Challenging Revision of Wards
The court observed that the municipal corporation or municipality should be treated as the administrative unit for issuing administrative orders.

Andhra Pradesh High Court
Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday dismissed petitions challenging the revision of wards in municipal corporations, municipalities and nagar panchayats.
A single-judge bench headed by Justice N. Harinath observed that the revision of wards would not affect the physical boundaries of municipal corporations and municipalities.
The court observed that the municipal corporation or municipality should be treated as the administrative unit for issuing administrative orders.
It said that as property tax collection, development works and provision of basic amenities were taken up by the municipality or municipal corporation, a ward could not be considered an administrative unit.
