Haryana Wins The Under-14 Girls National Kabaddi Championship In Gudivada

VIJAYAWADA: The five-day Under-14 Girls’ National Kabaddi Championship concluded at the Stadium in Gudivada on Friday.
In the final match on Friday, Haryana defeated Himachal Pradesh to claim the championship. HP settled for the runner-up position. Maharashtra secured third place by defeating Tamil Nadu in the play-off.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) president and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath said successful hosting of the national-level kabaddi tournament has significantly enhanced the profile of Gudivada. Thousands of spectators, including students, turned up for the final match.
Gudivada MLA Venigandla Ramu, former MLC and Telugu Desam state general secretary Buddha Venkanna, and AP State Warehousing Corporation chairman Ravi Venkateswara Rao joined MP Sivanath in cheering the young competitors.
Sivanath thanked HRD minister Nara Lokesh for bringing a national-level tournament to a smaller town like Gudivada. The MP promised to develop a cricket pitch spread over six acres in Gudivada to encourage budding cricketers.

Several officials, sports administrators, and political leaders, apart from students, celebrated the day as a milestone moment in Gudivada’s sporting journey.
