‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign Begins in Guntur

He said the country was overcoming challenges to its security and development and called for unity among coalition partners in pursuing the nation’s development goals.

Vijayawada: The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign was launched in Guntur on Sunday to encourage people to hoist the national flag at their homes as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

Union minister of state for rural development and communications Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar launched the campaign with a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga–Tiranga Yatra’ from Venkateswara Vignana Mandir to North Centre. A large number of people, along with BJP, Telugu Desam and Jana Sena leaders and workers, participated in the rally.

Dr Chandrasekhar said India’s emergence as one of the world’s leading economies was a matter of pride and credited the country’s progress to strong leadership at the Centre. He said the sacrifices of freedom fighters should inspire efforts to create better opportunities for the youth and future generations.

He said the country was overcoming challenges to its security and development and called for unity among coalition partners in pursuing the nation’s development goals.

Guntur MLA Mohammed Naseer Ahmed said every citizen should uphold the country’s heritage and remember the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle. He urged people to participate in the campaign with patriotic spirit.

Guntur district BJP president Tirupathi Rao, Rajya Sabha member Bhashyam Ramakrishna, MLAs Galla Madhavi and Mohammed Naseer Ahmed, Industrial Corporation chairman Degala Prabhakar, former deputy mayor Shaik Sajila, Telugu Desam leaders Thalla Venkatesh Yadav and Mujeeb, and other coalition leaders and workers participated in the programme.
