Haneeth Nag to Represent India at Shooting Ball World Cup

Vijayawada: Ponnada Haneeth Nag, a shooting ball player from Vijayawada, has been selected to represent India at the Shooting Ball World Cup, scheduled to be held from February 1 to 3 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.

Vijay Kumar Gogulamudi, secretary of the District Shooting Ball Association and an international shooting ball player, said the selection had brought recognition to NTR district and Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh Sports Authority chairman Animini Ravi Naidu felicitated Haneeth Nag and expressed confidence that he would perform well at the international event.

Speaking on the occasion, Haneeth Nag credited his success to his coach Vijay Kumar, who has been training him for the past nine years.
