GVMC Issues Preliminary Notification for Ward Expansion
The draft boundary details of the proposed 120 wards will be available for public inspection from September 5.

Visakhapatnam:The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has issued a preliminary notification for delimitation of wards, proposing an increase from the existing 98 wards to 120.
GVMC commissioner Ketan Garg said on Friday that the draft ward boundaries had been prepared in accordance with Rule 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipal Corporation (Delimitation of Wards) Rules, 1996, and subsequent government orders and circulars.
The draft boundary details of the proposed 120 wards will be available for public inspection from September 5. Copies will be displayed at the GVMC head office, all 10 reorganised zonal offices, notice boards of key government offices within GVMC limits and the official GVMC website.
Residents can submit suggestions or objections to the proposed delimitation and ward boundaries to the GVMC Commissioner on or before September 11, 2026, as specified in the preliminary notification.
