The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) witnessed a unanimous no-confidence motion against deputy mayor Jiyyani Sridhar during a council meeting at the GVMC headquarters on Saturday. Visakhapatnam: The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) witnessed a unanimous no-confidence motion against deputy mayor Jiyyani Sridhar during a council meeting at the GVMC headquarters on Saturday. Presiding officer and district collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad announced that all 74 members present supported the motion.
The meeting was attended by 63 GVMC corporators and 11 ex-officio members, including MPs, MLAs, and MLCs. With the quorum met, the motion was formally raised and received complete support, with no opposition or abstention.
