Guntur Div Intensifies Onboard Inspections to Improve Passenger Services
The inspection teams also reviewed onboard housekeeping, the availability of essential passenger facilities and service delivery standards

VIJAYAWADA: The Guntur division officials of the South Coast Railway (SCR) on Tuesday conducted an intensive onboard inspection of passenger trains under the ongoing Swachhata Abhiyan, with a focus on improving cleanliness, safety and passenger services.
The inspection was led by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Sudeshna Sen. Seven teams comprising senior divisional officers carried out a detailed inspection of Train No. 17253 operating between Guntur and Narasaraopet, with each team assigned specific coaches to assess onboard facilities and service standards.
As part of the exercise, railway officials interacted with passengers and sought feedback on coach cleanliness, housekeeping, maintenance and overall travel experience. According to railway officials, passengers expressed satisfaction with the cleanliness and housekeeping arrangements while offering suggestions to further improve passenger amenities.
The inspection teams also reviewed onboard housekeeping, the availability of essential passenger facilities and service delivery standards. Officials interacted with housekeeping personnel and onboard staff, emphasising the need to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and customer service.
The teams further analysed RailMadad complaints received in recent months to identify recurring issues and areas requiring attention. Railway authorities said the feedback from passengers and complaint analysis would be used to improve service quality, operational efficiency and passenger convenience.
A Guntur division official said it would continue regular inspections, proactive monitoring and direct engagement with passengers to ensure a cleaner, safer and more passenger-friendly travel experience.
