Group 2 candidates stage a sudden strike at Vizag traffic signal

With the exam date looming and tensions mounting, the authorities now find themselves navigating a complex situation that requires a delicate balance between upholding the examination schedule and addressing the concerns of the candidates

Visakhapatnam: Saturday night witnessed an unexpected disruption at the Isukathota Junction traffic signal as candidates from Group 2 orchestrated a sudden strike, fervently demanding the postponement of their upcoming examination. The protesters voiced their frustration with resounding slogans, including "CM, Deputy CM, Lokesh down," which echoed through the air and led to a severe traffic jam stretching from Isukathota Junction to Ram Talkies Junction.

The demonstration drew the attention of local authorities, and the police quickly arrived at the scene to restore order. The candidates, determined and unwavering, highlighted their concerns about the exam's timing and requested immediate intervention from higher authorities.

This incident unfolded against the backdrop of an announcement by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) affirming that the exam would proceed as scheduled. The commission's decision has sparked controversy and opposition among the candidates, who argue that unforeseen circumstances and inadequate preparation time necessitate a postponement.

As the traffic chaos ensued, the police faced the challenge of managing the agitated crowd while simultaneously addressing the inconvenience caused to commuters. The strike at one of the city's busiest intersections underscored the candidates' desperation and the urgency of their demands.

With the exam date looming and tensions mounting, the authorities now find themselves navigating a complex situation that requires a delicate balance between upholding the examination schedule and addressing the concerns of the candidates.
