Andhra Pradesh Minister Lokesh participated in the ground breaking ceremony of ReNew Power Complex.
Anantapur: Minister Nara Lokesh announced that large-scale industries are now setting up operations in Andhra Pradesh following the formation of the coalition government. He attributed this trend to the leadership and reputation of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, stating that the “CM's brand” has instilled confidence among investors.
Lokesh was speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony of the Renew Power Complex in Bettapalli, Guthi mandal, Anantapur district on Friday. The project, which will span 2,300 acres and involve an investment of ₹22,000 crore.
Lokesh pledged to create 10,000 jobs in the Rayalaseema region through the ReNew Power initiative. Reiterating the coalition government’s commitment to employment generation as stated in the election manifesto, he assured that 20 lakh jobs will be provided to unemployed youth across the state.
He emphasized that the electricity produced by the Renew Power Complex will serve not only Andhra Pradesh but also contribute to the national power grid. He added that such renewable energy projects will play a crucial role in reducing electricity tariffs for consumers.
On the occasion, Lokesh also announced that a High Court bench will soon be established in Kurnool.
Taking a swipe at the previous YSRC rule in the state, he criticized their failure to attract investments or even repair potholes on state roads. In contrast, he highlighted the current government's success in attracting companies such as Tata Energy and TCS, which are now investing in the state.
