Nellore:A deluge of online financial frauds dominated the Public Grievance Redressal Programme held at the District Police Office in Nellore on Monday, with victims complaining losses in cryptocurrency scams, fake stock trading firms and fraudulent loan offers.
In one case, a man from Kaligiri was allegedly duped of ₹14.5 lakh by a woman, identified as Keerthi Reddy, who lured him through a matrimonial profile and promised high returns through cryptocurrency investments.
In another case, a resident of Kavali reported losing ₹50 lakh after being persuaded via Instagram to invest in a fraudulent company named Kuvera, which promised stock market profits.

In total, 79 complaints were received during the day’s programme, covering issues such as cyber fraud, family disputes, missing persons, accidents and harassment cases.
Police officials assured that all grievances would be taken up for investigation and victims would receive justice at the earliest.
