Governor, Naidu Extend Greeting to Telangana People

Referring to the goal of a developed India by 2047, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should work together and play a pivotal role in showcasing Telugu pride and achievements on the national stage.

Vijayawada:On the occasion of Telangana Formation Day, Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu extended their greetings to the people of Telangana on Tuesday.

The Governor said Telangana, one of India’s youngest states, is celebrated for its rich cultural heritage and historic landmarks such as Charminar and Golconda Fort. He noted that the state’s cultural legacy has been shaped by the contributions of the Kakatiya dynasty and Qutb Shahi dynasty, which patronised art, culture, literature and architecture.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu called for the two Telugu-speaking states to remain united in spirit while competing in development and progress. In a message on his X handle, Naidu said that although Andhra Pradesh and Telangana had emerged as separate states, the Telugu people would always remain one community. He expressed hope that both states would strive to outpace each other in development and contribute significantly to India's growth journey.

Naidu said the Telugu land, known for its rich history and cultural heritage, should achieve greater milestones in the future. He envisioned Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, and Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, evolving into world-class cities and centres of excellence. Naidu also stressed that the benefits of development should reach every Telugu family and improve living standards across both states.
