Government Committed to Preserving Telugu Language, Says Durgesh
The minister announced that Nandi Natakotsavam, a major cultural festival celebrating Telugu poetry and drama, would be organised in November and December. The festival will culminate in the presentation of Nandi awards according to a predetermined calendar.

Visakhapatnam: Minister of tourism, culture and cinematography Kandula Durgesh paid tributes to Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy, hailing him as “the great man who took the umbrella of the colloquial language” during Telugu Language Day celebrations held in Visakhapatnam on Friday.
Speaking as the chief guest, Durgesh felicitated 14 recipients of the Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy awards, personally presenting each awardee with a cash prize of Rs 25,000, a memento and a ceremonial shawl. The awards recognised outstanding contributions in the fields of art and literature.
The minister emphasised that the coalition government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, remains committed to preserving Telugu language and culture despite rapid modernisation and technological advancement.
