Goshala Issue: Tirupati Police Keep Ex-TTD Chairman Under House Arrest

Bhumana Karunakar Reddy accepted the challenge posed by TDP leaders and planned to visit Goshala

Hyderabad: Former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy was kept under house arrest by the Tiruchanoor police on Thursday hours before his visit to SV Goshala Goshala where several cows died a few days ago.

In response to a challenge posed by the TDP leaders in Tirupati, Reddy accepted the challenge and said that he would visit Goshala at 10 am. It was Reddy, who alleged that 100 cows died in Goshala and he had evidence to prove it. Reddy said he had committed to what he had said in connection with the Goshala issue.

Believing that Reddy’s visit would lead to law and order problems in temple town, the Tiruchanoor police came to his residence and kept him under house arrest along with other YSRCP followers. Additional police forces were deployed at Reddy and other leaders’ houses to prevent any untoward incidents.
