ANANTAPUR: Senior IAS officer K. Ramakrishna Rao, a native of Gooty town in Anantapur district, has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of Telangana. Following the announcement, residents of the Gooty Fort area congratulated the senior officer on his new role on Monday.
K. Ramakrishna Rao’s grandfather, K. Chandramouleeswara Rao, was a prominent freedom fighter from Gooty town and played an active role in the Indian freedom movement.
Ramakrishna Rao, who previously served as the finance secretary in the Telangana government, has now risen to the position of Chief Secretary. Locals from the Gooty Fort area expressed their pride and appreciation for his appointment, recognising his achievements and contributions.
