Give Rs 10,000 Crore to AP Under SASCI: CM Naidu Tells Centre
CM urges Nirmala Sitharaman to release Amaravati funds, cites post-bifurcation financial stress

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has urged Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to allocate an additional Rs 10,000 crore to Andhra Pradesh for the 2025-26 fiscal under the special assistance to states for capital investment provision.
Naidu met Nirmala Sitharaman on the second day of his visit to Delhi on Wednesday and submitted a memorandum seeking financial assistance to Andhra Pradesh for various projects. He appealed to the 16th Finance Commission to accept the memorandum given by the AP government to fill the revenue deficit.
“AP is still facing a deficit of financial resources due to bifurcation,” he said.
He informed the finance minister that a total of Rs 79,280 crore is required for the construction of Amaravati. Works worth Rs 44,351 crore have been started. A sum of Rs 26,000 crore has not been collected from the Centre in this regard.
Naidu pleaded that the central funds for AP in the second tranche to Amaravati be given as a grant.
