Anantapur: A delegation from Germany’s KfW Bank visited IGGAARL (Indo-German Global Academy for Agroecology Research and Learning) experimental plots in Vellaturu village, Pendlimarri mandal, on Wednesday as part of their natural farming study.
The delegation, including Sangeeta Agarwal, Mark Prein, Anna Berezovskaja, and Servi Nabuurs, observed a cowpea cultivation experiment using seed pelletisation and examined its benefits. Farmers demonstrated the seed pelletisation technique, explaining that it ensures seed viability for six months and enhances germination even with minimal moisture (10-15 mm).
The team also visited the Rythu Seva Kendra in Gangireddipalli and interacted with staff on natural farming promotion.
Senior officials Rayudu, G. Muralidhar, Shiva Reddy, IGGAARL administrative officer Praveen Kumar, district project manager Vasantha Kumari, and other APCNF staff were present.
