Visakhapatnam: Radha Gayatri's parents, P. Sudhakar and Satyavathi, on Friday met Visakhapatnam Commissioner of Police Shankha Brata Bagchi and briefed him on the sequence of events leading to their daughter's death in Mussoorie.
During the meeting, Sudhakar explained the developments in the case and alleged that their son-in-law, Sricharan, a suspect in the case, had been spreading misinformation about Radha Gayatri and her family through sections of the media in Visakhapatnam.
The couple said they had already brought the matter to the notice of the Uttarakhand authorities but were unable to prevent the circulation of the alleged false information.
The commissioner advised the family on the issues they should raise with the investigating officer to help expedite the investigation.
Bagchi expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and assured them that the Visakhapatnam Police would extend all possible assistance to help ensure justice in the case.
