Nellore: Tense moments unfolded on the National Highway in Nellore when police opened fire to stop a ganja smuggler who attempted to escape after his vehicle was intercepted.
According to reports, Nellore 6th Town Circle Inspector K. Sambasiva Rao fired at the smuggler to prevent his getaway. The accused, hailing from Rajahmundry, was subsequently apprehended. During the operation, Constable Feroz sustained minor injuries. Police have taken the smuggler into custody and are investigating further. His identity and other details are yet to be officially revealed.
