Ganesh Mandap Organisers Asked To Register For Permissions
Ganesh mandap organisers in Nellore have been asked to register for permissions through a single-window system ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi.

The Vikrama Simhapuri Ganesh Utsav Samithi has asked organisers of temporary Ganesh mandaps in Nellore city to register at its office to obtain permissions through a single-window system for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
A meeting of mandap organisers was held at a local hotel on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Samithi honorary president Pitti Satya Nageswara Rao.
District president Vayugundla Venkateswarlu, state vice-president Bhayya Vasu, Samithi president Kondapalli Srikanth, general secretary T. Bhaskar Reddy and honorary adviser P. Surendra Reddy spoke at the meeting.
The organisers said the Samithi was formed to bring Ganesh festival organisers onto a common platform and coordinate celebrations and immersion arrangements. They said facilities were being created at Penna Ghat and Nellore Cheruvu Ganesh Ghat.
The Samithi office at TVS Kalyana Sadan, Trunk Road, Shivaji Centre, will open on September 5. Mandap organisers have been asked to register there for permissions.
The five-day festivities will begin on September 14, followed by a procession and immersion of temporary idols at the designated ghats on September 18 with government support.
Several Samithi office-bearers and Ganesh festival organisers attended the meeting.
