Ganesh Immersion Procession Held in Kurnool
Devotees, cultural troupes and officials take part in festive procession
Kurnool: The Ganesh immersion procession was held in Kurnool city on Tuesday, with thousands of devotees taking part in the festivities.
Special pujas were performed at the Rambhotla temple before the procession began. State industries and commerce minister T.G. Bharath, Kurnool MLA Gauru Charitha and other public representatives formally inaugurated the procession after offering prayers.
The minister, MLA, collector, SP and other officials had darshan of Lord Ganesh and performed special pujas at the temple before the procession proceeded through the Old City.
Kurnool SP Vikrant Patil supervised security arrangements in the Old City. Police personnel were deployed at key points along the procession route to regulate the movement of devotees and vehicles.
Folk dance and cultural troupes participated in the procession, showcasing traditional art forms, including drum beats, Kolatam and Chekka Bhajana.
Devotees followed the procession as Ganesh idols were taken for immersion. Officials said arrangements had been made for the peaceful conduct of the procession.
