Ganesh Ghat To Be Developed As Tourist Destination: Kotamreddy
NUDA chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy said the authority would extend full support to the development of Ganesh Ghat into an attractive public venue.

Nellore: Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy on Tuesday said Ganesh Ghat, near the Sri Irukalala Parameswari Temple, would be developed into a major tourist destination, with the Nellore Urban Development Authority (NUDA) playing a key role in its beautification.
The MLA, accompanied by NUDA chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy, mayor Devarakonda Sujatha, deputy mayor Roop Kumar Yadav, TD state official spokesperson Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy and members of the Vikrama Simhapuri Ganesh Utsav Committee, inspected preparations for the forthcoming Ganesh immersion celebrations at the ghat.
Speaking on the occasion, Kotamreddy said several development works had already been taken up at the site and that further infrastructure would be created to transform it into a landmark destination. He said efforts would be made to organise the Ganesh immersion celebrations in Nellore on the lines of Hyderabad, with improved facilities for devotees.

Corporator Kuvvakollu Vijayalakshmi, Vikrama Simhapuri Ganesh Utsav Committee members P. Surendra Reddy, Mandla Eswaraiah and Vijay Kumar, co-cluster in-charge Vishnu Priya, local TDP president Uchuru Suresh, and other party leaders and committee members participated in the inspection.
