From Sri City Resident to Entrepreneur: Mallikarjun Paruchuri’s Inspiring Journey
Nireesha Sannareddy highlighted Mallikarjun’s transformation as a powerful example of local talent rising to become job creators.

Nellore: Smile Eco Industries, located in the Sri City Special Economic Zone, has rolled out its first commercial consignment of menstrual hygiene products, including sanitary napkins.
The inaugural consignment to Vijayawada was flagged off by Nireesha Sannareddy, director (CSR) of Sri City, in the presence of the firm’s managing director Mallikarjun Paruchuri and senior company officials on Monday.
What’s noteworthy is also the journey of Mallikarjun himself. A native of the Sri City region, Mallikarjun began his professional life as an employee within the Sri City ecosystem.
Over the years, driven by determination, learning, and an entrepreneurial vision, he transitioned from being a resident and employee to establishing his own manufacturing unit within the same industrial hub.
Nireesha Sannareddy highlighted Mallikarjun’s transformation as a powerful example of local talent rising to become job creators.
“His journey from the shop floor to the boardroom is inspiring for aspiring entrepreneurs, especially the youth from surrounding communities,” she said.
Addressing the gathering, Mallikarjun credited Sri City’s industry-friendly environment for his success. He said the SEZ’s strong infrastructure, mentoring ecosystem and consistent government support helped in turning his entrepreneurial dream into a reality.
The company, he said, plans to expand its product range and introduce more innovative, affordable hygiene solutions in the near future.
Smile Eco Industries was inaugurated on Sept 5 by Hanuman Chowdary, veteran industrialist and former CMD of Videsh Sanchar Nigam. The company rapidly scaled up its production of safe, sustainable, and cost-effective sanitary napkins.
The first consignment, sent to Vijayawada, was valued at nearly Rs.10 lakh.
