APCRDA concluded a three-day free barista training programme aimed at equipping unemployed youth in Amaravati with coffee and hospitality skills.

AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) organised a three-day free programme to train unemployed youth as baristas – skilled professionals who prepare espresso-based coffee and other beverages.
The Coffee Barista Skills Training Programme for the unemployed in the Amaravati capital region started on October 5 and concluded on Wednesday, October 7. APCRDA Social Development Department (SDD) organised the programme in association with Kaapi Solutions, Bengaluru, and SRM University.
Expert trainers from Kaapi Solutions provided practical training to the Amaravati youth in coffee barista skills, coffee-brewing techniques, beverage preparation, and customer handling. Further, participants received a briefing on self-employment and opportunities for setting up coffee shops or cafes.
APCRDA SDD group director V. Ramulu visited the training programme and interacted with the participants on employment and self-employment opportunities available to them in the coffee and hospitality sector.
Ramulu said their department would continue conducting such programmes to provide unemployed youth in the Amaravati capital region with market-oriented skill training and improve their livelihood opportunities.
