Four feared drowned in Vetapalem, Police retrieve two bodies

VIJAYAWADA: Four people were feared to have drowned at Ramapuram coast in Vetapalem Mandal in Bapatla district on Friday.

According to the information reaching here, the four persons identified as Teja (21), Kishore (22), Nithin (22) and Amul Raj (23), all belonging to Duggirala village in Eluru district went missing in the sea after a strong current swept them. Police retrieved the bodies of Teja and Kishore and search operations are underway to find Nithin and Amul Raj who went missing in the sea.

10-year old pillion rider dead

Visakhapatnam: Ten-year-old boy Tarun riding pillion with his father on a two-wheeler lost his life when he slipped and fell under the back wheels of a lorry near the market at Chinagantyada junction.

Tarun had been studying in Class V.

Gajuwaka police have registered a case and are investigating.
