Four Arrested In Nallaguntla Murder Case
Based on technical evidence and field enquiries, the police apprehended the accused late on Thursday near the Nallaguntla-Korraprolu Road.

TIRUPATI: Prakasam district police have arrested four persons and a juvenile for the July 4 murder in Nallaguntla village, Dornala mandal, which took place during the Peerla festival procession in full public view.
The victim Bairaboyina Venkateswarlu (38), a resident of Nallaguntla, was attacked and killed with sharp weapons while offering prayers. A case was registered at Dornala Police Station.
"The murder was the result of a personal enmity dating back to 2022. Bairaboyina was allegedly involved in the killing of a relative of the main accused," police said.
Based on technical evidence and field enquiries, the police apprehended the accused late on Thursday near the Nallaguntla-Korraprolu Road. The arrested individuals have been identified as Moddu Tirupathi Rao (44), Bairaboyina Bala Tirumalayya (58), Moddu Venkateswarlu (65), and Moddu Ramu Kumar (21), all belonging to Nallaguntla village. A juvenile was also taken into custody.
The investigation was carried out under the supervision of Markapuram DSP U. Nagaraju, with teams led by CI Prabhakar of Y.Palem and SI Mahesh of Dornala. Superintendent of Police A.R. Damodar commended the investigating officers and staff for their quick response and effective handling.
