Former Maoist Gets House Under PMAY Urban 2.0

KURNOOL: Former Maoist B. Krishnaveni, who has returned to mainstream society, has been sanctioned a house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Urban 2.0 scheme. Nandyal district collector G. Rajakumari inaugurated the newly constructed house at Nandamuri Nagar in Nandyal town on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the collector said the government was implementing PMAY Urban 2.0 to fulfil the dream of owning a house for eligible poor families. She said the scheme played a crucial role in providing secure housing to eligible urban families who did not own houses.
Rajakumari directed the officials concerned to coordinate their efforts to ensure that the benefits of various government welfare schemes reached all eligible beneficiaries.
