Former Giddalur MLA Rama Bhoopal Reddy Dies at 89

Nellore: Telugu Desam's former MLA from Giddalur, Pidatala Rama Bhoopal Reddy, passed away on Thursday at the age of 89. He had been undergoing treatment for age-related ailments at a private hospital in Hyderabad when he breathed his last.

Reddy, who won the Giddalur Assembly seat in 1994 as a TDP candidate, had gradually withdrawn from public life in later years. His demise has prompted condolences from leaders across the Telugu States.

According to family relative Praveen Kumar Reddy, his mortal remains are being transported to Giddalur. The funeral will be held on Friday in his native village, Anumulaveedu.
