Naidu, YS Jagan Condole Former Deputy CM Alla Nani's Demise

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu condoled the demise of TDP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Alla Nani, who died today of a cardiac arrest in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.

Taking to X, the Chief Minister wrote, " The sudden demise of Alla Nani Garu (Kali Krishna Srinivas), former Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh state, has deeply shocked me. It is heartbreaking that he passed away due to a heart attack at the young age of 56. I express my profound condolences to his family. I pray to God that his soul attains eternal peace."

Former YSR Congress Party senior leader V Vijayasai Reddy also condoled the demise of the leader.

"Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas (Alla Nani), former Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. His dedicated public service and contribution to the state will always be remembered. Heartfelt condolences to his family, supporters, and admirers. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti, " he wrote in a message shared on X.

Sharing his condolence message on the YSRCP party social media, former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his condolences over the sudden demise of Alla Nani. The former Deputy CM, former Eluru MLA, TDP leader Alla Kalikrishna Srinivas (Nani) garu's demise has deeply shocked me. He conveyed his profound condolences to the family members. During the YSRCP regime, Alla Nani garu served as Deputy Chief Minister and as Minister for the Medical Health Department, he wrote and he prayed that God grant strength to the family members during this difficult time.

Former Minister for Industries, YSRCP leader Gudiwada Amaranath wrote, "Deeply saddened and shocked by the sudden demise of former Minister Sri Alla Nani Garu. His untimely passing is an irreparable loss to his family, friends, supporters, and all those who knew him. My heartfelt condolences to his family during this extremely difficult time, " he wrote in his condolence message.

Rajya Sabha MP and TDP National Vice President Sana Sathish Babu said that the news of the untimely demise of former minister Alla Nani garu has caused deep shock. I pray for peace to his soul and extend my heartfelt condolences to his family members and admirers, " he wrote in a message shared on social media.

Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas, popularly known as Alla Nani was first elected as a Congress MLA from Eluru and later joined the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Alla Nani, who won three times as MLA from the Eluru assembly constituency, had served as Deputy CM in the YSRCP -led government. During the COVID period, he also held the key responsibility of Health and Medical Minister in the State.

He was born on 30 December 1969 in Eluru, West Godavari district, to Alla Suri Chandrarao and Nagamani at Sanivarapu Peta and completed his education in Eluru. He started his political journey with the Indian National Congress Party. Represented the Eluru constituency as a Member of the Legislative Assembly during 2004–2013 (Congress) and again from 2019–2024 (YSRCP). Ala Nani also served as a Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council (MLC) from 2017 to 2019.

He was known in AP politics as a non-controversial, soft-natured leader.

TDP working president and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, in a post on 'X', said, "The news of the death of TDP leader and former minister Aalla Nani due to a heart attack has caused profound shock. Paying my respects to the memory of Nani Garu." Lokesh said that Srinivas had stayed away from controversies and interacted amicably with everyone. "I convey my deepest condolences to his family members," he said.

During the Assembly elections in 2024, Srinivas lost to TDP's B Radha Krishnayya. Keeping his political priorities in mind, he left the YSRCP and joined the ruling party in February 2025. Alla Nani is survived by his wife, Alla Rekha, and two sons, Alla Kali Krishna Manichandra and Alla Ashish.
