Forest officials rescue crocodile from KC canal

Kurnool:Forest officials captured a crocodile from the KC Canal at Banakacharla head regulator on Tuesday.

Forest range officer M.A. Khan led the Animal Rescue Team that rescued the reptile, which the locals spotted on Monday. Fishermen, farmers and cattle herders, who frequently visit the canal, expressed concerns about the potential danger the crocodile posed to their safety.

Initially, when the rescue team searched for the crocodile, it could not locate the reptile due to high water flow. However, after the water level receded, the team located and captured the crocodile.

Ranger Khan confirmed the crocodile’s capture and said it will be relocated to the riverine area.
