Foreign Naval Ships Dock at Vizag for IFR, Milan

The arrival of foreign naval ships is expected to continue over the coming days. Officials said around 90 ships are likely to participate in the events, including 19 vessels from foreign navies.

Visakhapatnam: Foreign naval warships from three Asian countries docked at the Visakhapatnam Naval Dockyard late on Thursday evening to participate in the International Fleet Review (IFR), Exercise Milan and the International City Parade.

Indian Naval officials accorded a formal welcome to the visiting vessels, which include CGS Huravee, a patrol vessel of the Maldives National Defence Force, SCGS Zoroaster (P609) of the Seychelles Coast Guard, and VPNS Dinh Tien Hoang, a frigate of the Vietnam People’s Navy.

Naval officials held preliminary discussions with representatives of the visiting navies on the schedule of onshore and offshore activities connected with the IFR and Milan exercises.
