Visakhapatnam: Tension prevailed at the Sea Horse junction on Visakha Port Trust premises after flames erupted from a conveyer belt under construction this afternoon.
Around 1.45 pm, the flames erupted in the vicinity of JM Bhakshi Company. The flames accompanied with heavy smoke choked the atmosphere in the area, leading to anxiety among residents near VPT.
Witnessing the fire, the onlookers informed the VPT authorities. The firefighting department reached the place and with fire engines, they tried to douse the flames. According to information, the fire is yet to be brought under control. More details regarding them mishap are awaited.
