Father Seeks Probe Into Daughter’s Death, Meets Vizag DCP

Visakhapatnam: A former army soldier from Visakhapatnam, P. Sudhakar, lodged a complaint with the police raising suspicion over the death of his daughter P. Radha Gayatri, who died under mysterious circumstances at a hotel in Mussoorie in Uttarakhand. Her husband Sai Charan was present in the room.
Sudhakar, in his complaint to the DCP, said Gayatri had been in regular contact with them during the trip. However, on the morning of June 14, she reportedly did not wake up, and at around 10 am her husband informed them she had passed away. Given the sudden and unexpected nature of her death, he strongly believed that the circumstances warranted a thorough and impartial investigation.
He said during final rites, which were performed on June 16, the behaviour of her husband raised serious concerns. From the early days of their marriage, he displayed extreme suspicion and controlling tendencies.
He kept an eye on the visitors by watching CCTV footage of their home with the help of the watchman while they were living in Hyderabad. He kept an eye on her movements even though they were both working in different cities. Without her knowledge or consent, he allegedly placed a tracking device in her handbag. He frequently questioned her about her colleagues and made baseless allegations of extramarital relationships, subjecting her to mental harassment. After her relocation to Delhi, he would insist on video calls during her travel in office cabs and even during working hours, demanding to see her surroundings and colleagues.
This behaviour interfered with her professional responsibilities and caused significant emotional distress. In front of both families, however, he portrayed himself as a caring and respectable husband, concealing his actual conduct.
Despite repeatedly questioning the circumstances surrounding the death, Sai Charan failed to provide any clear information and remained silent.
