Ex-MP Kesineni Approaches NHRC For Probe Into Sai Krishna’s Custodial Death
The ex-MP went on to demand a judicial inquiry and suspension of the Vijayawada police commissioner.

Vijayawada: Former MP Kesineni Srinivas lodged a complaint with National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on the custodial death of Gade Sai Krishna and cremation of his body in a clandestine manner.
The ex-MP went on to demand a judicial inquiry and suspension of the Vijayawada police commissioner.
In his complaint, Kesineni stated that the local youth Sai Krishna had been taken into custody by Krishnalanka police on May 9 from Markapuram on charges of his involvement in criminal cases. He had been detained for over 35 days at various locations and inside the Krishnalanka police station, where he had been subject to third-degree torture, which led to his death.
The family of the deceased has accused the police of cremating Sai Krishna’s body and dumping his ashes into the Krishna River.
The former MP requested the NHRC to order an independent judicial inquiry into the illegal detention, brutal torture, custodial death and illegal disposal of the body as well as ashes of Sai Krishna.
