Ex-MLA Nallapareddy Prasannakumar’s House Attacked In Nellore

Nellore:An unidentified gang ransacked the residence of former MLA and YSR Congress leader Nallapareddy Prasannakumar Reddy on Sunday night.
The attackers vandalized furniture, glass fixtures, racks and other household items at his home in Sujatamma Colony near Ambedkar Bhavan, Kondayyapalem Gate Centre, Nellore.
The incident occurred shortly after Reddy returned home from a political meeting in Kovur. He had made strong remarks against Vemireddy Prashanth Reddy. A link between his comments and the sudden attack appeared likely. The miscreants left the place before police could reach there.
This was the first attack on the residence of a top political leader in Nellore district, especially on one from a prominent family that is into politics for over four decades.
The Nallapareddy family has a commanding presence in the Kovuru constituency, with Prasannakumar Reddy winning the assembly polls six times and his brother Nallapareddy Srinivas Reddy three times from the region.
Several senior YSRCP leaders were seen arriving at the residence to take stock of the situation. An investigation was under way.
